Mucobrex- LC Syrup is used to treat dry coughs. Coughing, whether dry or productive, is the body’s way of clearing irritants such as allergens, mucus, or smoke from the airways and preventing infection. There are two types of coughs: dry coughs and chesty coughs. A dry cough is characterized by a tickling sensation and does not produce any thick or viscous mucus. In contrast, a chesty cough (also known as a wet cough) involves the production of mucus or sputum, which helps to clear the airways.

In the Treatment of Dry Cough

• Shake the bottle thoroughly before each use.
• Take the prescribed dose by mouth using the measuring cup, dosing syringe, or dropper.

Levodropropizine (cough suppressant) and Chlorpheniramine maleate (antihistamine). Levodropropizine belongs to the class of cough suppressants that work by blocking the transmission of nerve signals from the cough centre in the brain to the muscles that produce a cough. Chlorpheniramine maleate belongs to the class of antihistamines (anti-allergic drugs) that work by blocking the action of histamine, a substance responsible for causing allergic reactions. Together, Levodropropizine+chlorpheniramine Maleate provides relief from dry cough.
