Voglizest-GM2 Tablets combination of medicines works to manage type 2 diabetes mellitus. Voglibose inhibits alpha-glucosidase enzymes in the intestine, delaying the digestion and absorption of carbohydrates, which leads to reduced postprandial blood glucose levels. Glimepiride stimulates insulin secretion from pancreatic beta cells by binding to ATP-sensitive potassium channels, thereby lowering blood sugar levels. Metformin primarily works by reducing hepatic glucose production, enhancing insulin sensitivity in peripheral tissues, and improving glucose uptake by muscles, leading to reduced blood sugar levels.
