In Treatment of Cough with mucus

• Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor.

This medicine formulation helps relieve cough with mucus. Ambroxol is a mucolytic that thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Guaifenesin is an expectorant that decreases the stickiness of the mucus and helps in its removal from the airways. Terbutaline is a bronchodilator that relaxes and widens the muscles in the airways.

AMBROXOL+GUAIPHENESIN+LEVOSALBUTAMOL is used to treat cough associated with mucus. Coughing (dry or productive) is the body’s way of clearing irritants (like allergens, mucus or smoke) from airways and preventing infection. There are two types of coughs: dry cough and chesty cough. A dry cough is tickly and doesn’t produce any vicious or thick mucus, while a chesty cough (wet cough) produces mucous or sputum.

AMBROXOL+GUAIPHENESIN+LEVOSALBUTAMOL is a combination of three drugs, namely Levosalbutamol, Ambroxol, and Guaiphenesin. Levosalbutamol works by relaxing muscles and widening the airways of the lungs. Ambroxol works by thinning and loosening phlegm (mucus) in the lungs, windpipe, and nose. Therefore, it helps cough out phlegm easily. Guaiphenesin increases the volume of fluid in the airways, reduces the stickiness of mucus, and helps to remove it from the airways. Together, AMBROXOL+GUAIPHENESIN+LEVOSALBUTAMOL helps relieve the cough.
